Insurance coverage varies from carrier-to-carrier. However, most insurance companies cover between 80 to 100% for a "Cranial Prothesis". Most insurances will allow you one unit per year.

Medicare, Medicare Replacement Plans and Medicaid do not cover wigs.

Coverage can vary depending on your diagnosis, for example, some policies may cover for chemotherapy but not for alopecia. You will want to give them your diagnosis code when you call (You can obtain this from your doctor)
